Realty Construction Corp.                                                                                           03/95-08/96

Realty Construction is primarily a builder of wood frame apartment projects around the Southeast.   As a Project Manager my responsibilities included  bidding, scheduling, and managing various  construction projects.  As an Assistant Superintendent,  my responsibilities included supervising the grading, sitework and construction of a  wood frame condominium project.

 

Cohen / Ager  Construction                                                                                      09/92-06/93

Adjusted the insurance losses for several property owners in South Florida, and contracted and supervised approximately $4 million in building repairs to the interiors and exteriors of a 175,000 s.f. bulk warehouse building and a 64,000 s.f. multi-tenant warehouse building after Hurricane Andrew.

 

Arvida                                                                                                                       06/91-08/92

Performed as the  Project Manager responsible for business planning, sales, site development, management of the builder programs, and other general management  for Eagle Watch,  Burnt Hickory Lakes,  and Country Walk , single family residential subdivisions.     Annual home sales of approximately 250 homes.

 

Brown Development Corp.                                                                                          1987-1989

Owner of Brown Development Corporation, a Florida General Contracting firm, responsible for the construction and administration necessary to successfully complete the following projects: Devonaire Commercial Park  -  64,000   s.f.   industrial warehouse space.  Supervised design and construction and acted as general contractor and owner’s representative in leasing and tenant improvements.     United States Postal Service - Snapper Creek Annex - 20,000 s.f.  renovation.   Acted as General Contractor and Owner’s representative for the project. Completed the project on time & budget within a difficult construction schedule.

 

Gilbane Building Company                                                                                 1985-1987

Completed Gilbane’s Management Training Program and received construction experience in high rise, low rise, commercial, institutional, and state government projects.  The following is a partial listing :   Peabody Hotel , Orlando  - Superintendent ,  responsible for guest room finishes.  University of Florida, Engineering/Science/Computer Facility  - Assistant Superintendent and Office Engineer.  Estimating Department - Quantity survey and pricing. computer applications to estimating.   Scheduling Department - Mastered computer scheduling.  Created and maintained construction schedules for various size and type of projects.  Purchasing Department - Bid projects and solicited minority subcontractor involvement.  FAA / ITT Management Training Facility  Flagler County , FAA flight controller training facility.  Field assistance, scheduling, and purchasing.  Orange County Convention Center - Orlando - Scheduling, Purchasing, & Estimating.   Phillips Point  Palm Beach , high rise office building - Field Assistance.   Burger King World Headquarters , Miami , - Scheduling and Estimating.
